The Once A Year Pond Plant Fertiliser gives your waterlilies and other aquatic flowers everything they need for a full season of healthy, confident growth. One treatment lasts up to 180 days, so you can feed your plants, tick it off your list and enjoy a splashing good display without lifting a finger again until next year.
The clever slow released formula developed by the same company as NASA food exploration, uses an NPK ratio of 11 3 14, which means slow and steady feeding with none of the nutrient spikes that can stress plants. There is no excess nitrogen, very low phosphorus to help keep algae at bay and lots of potassium to boost flowering. The result is strong, vibrant, beautifully balanced plant growth all season long.
You can choose between capsules or granular, depending on what you are working on. Capsules are perfect for fertilising existing pond plants. They are easy to push into the soil, stay intact and release nutrients gradually. They come in packs of 6 and 12, so you can treat a few special plants or the whole pond. If you are potting up new plants (make sure to pick up your new pots!) or refreshing old containers, the granular fertiliser is the way to go. Mix it through the soil as you plant and you are setting your pond stars up for a fantastic first season. It comes in 2lb (0.9kg) and 7lb (3kg) bags, making it perfect for small projects or big creative weekends.
How often: One time per season. Ideally spring but as long as it is in there, whenever you feel inspired.
How to use: Add aquatic soil to the bottom of the pot, sprinkle the recommended amount evenly, add your plant, then top up with soil and gravel.

How to use: Push each capsule at least 10 cm into the soil. Use a blunt object to make a hole if needed. Add one capsule per hole and cover with media. For newly potted plants, you can open the capsule and spread the fertiliser beneath the soil.
