Our Micro Pond Kit is perfect for those who didn’t think that they had space for a pond!  Anyone can enjoy the beauty and sound of a miniature water garden with your new Micro Pond, perfect for decks, patios and balconies.  These ponds will fit anywhere in your garden as they need very little space and no power, just a little sunshine (and we’d recommend a comfy seat nearby). This is a great way to introduce children to water safely whilst watching wildlife up close.  This is too small for fish to enjoy so please let nature choose who will call this their home.

What is included in the Micro Pond Kit?

Step 1: Choose your Patio Pond

Choose your Patio Pond from a choice of Desert Granite, Green Slate or Terracotta in 80cm round and 76L.  To upsize, why not look at our textured Grey Slate patio pond 84cm square and holding 170L.  With the larger body of water, this will be a more stable environment and creates more space for wildlife to call home.

These composite plastic bowls are frost and heat resistant meaning that they won’t fade or crack over time.  Being chemically inert, they wont change the pH of the water which can encouraging blanketweed.  They come with a built in shelf at the right height to cover a standard 3L aquatic basket.  The edges of a pot above water ruins any water-feature! The shelf is hollow so there is space for a hidden pump, lights, or for additional hiding holes for animals.  There is also a handy little cable cover at the back if you want to add a pump or submergible lights.

Step 2: Add Planting

Add our planting package to your Micro Pond Kit for a whopping 35% discount.  This can ONLY be collected in person from Aqua Eden – we are not licenced to post plants.  This planting package includes 3x 3L Marginal plants of your choice as well as a Pygmy Lily.  This will give you instant impact and everything you need for keen Water Gardeners.  Bees and butterflies love these Micro Ponds so choose plants with lots of flowers, we’re happy to help you choose from our large selection.

Step 3: Create a habitat

For keen Aquascapers who love creating micro habitats, why not add some stones, wood and gravel to your pond to create a naturalistic place for wildlife to colonise?  At Aqua Eden, find your choice of materials and mock them up with us in store.  We can show you how to move and balance them to hide the pots and create pathways for creatures to climb out of the water with. This will also create more surface area for beneficial bacteria to thrive, creating a healthy and balanced pond.  Create something unique and watch the wildlife come to you.

Step 4: Build Healthy Water

We would recommend treating weekly with Maintain Water treatment.  This is perfect for new ponds as it is packed full of Beneficial Bacteria which will help to balance your new water, fighting off problem plants like Blanketweed and Duckweed.

Perhaps add some aeration with a fun spitter, there is space under the integrated shelf to hide a pump! Just pop the spitter on a nearby rock or wall and make this perfect for you
